Our CNC Swiss type machines are particularly effective for long and slender turned parts. Because Swiss-type lathes feed the stock through a guide bushing the OD turning tool can always cut the stock near the bushing, and therefore near the point of support, no matter how long the work piece. The machine feeds the work out of the spindle and past the tools as it goes. Because our CNC Swiss machines can rotate a part at up to 8,000 rpm, we can achieve superior OD finishes and an accuracy level of 0.0002 inches. With 4-axis, the machines are capable of producing complex, tight tolerance parts over 2 feet long.

All our Swiss CNC lathes are equipped with automatic bar loaders and most have live tooling. The bar capacity on these machines is up to1-1/4" diameter bar stock
